Craft Skis Built for the Rockies

The Canadian Rockies have a knack for dishing out severe conditions that demand a durable ski. At 93 North Skis we treat durability as high of an importance as performance, and that means using the highest quality materials available. 4001 Sintered base material is standard in all of our skis, so is the extra thick cold-rolled steel edges. Canada has some of the best hardwoods around, our ski cores are built with Canadian Maple and Poplar to produce stiff and durable skis.

Built to Last, Built for the Rockies

Our skis are built with the most durable materials to stand up to the harshest conditions.

Producing quality skis requires a lot of hard work and creativity! To us that means getting help from our local artists and athletes. Our artists produce truly unique artworks that we feel resonates with the Canadian Rockies. Furthermore, creating the performance we demand from our skis is only possible with help from our athletes. They are able to read ski characteristics on the slopes so that we can modify our designs to create an awesome ride.

“The skis were a delight from the word go. For their size they did well in the deep pow. They were excellent in the shallow pow. Skied the odd section of steepish cat track to get around and I loved them for the short radius turns on soft rough “grooming”. Finally they did as well as any ski could on the nasty windslab.”

IFMGA Mountain Guide
I am not a pro skier, a guide, or even aspiring to be either, I am just an avid fan of getting out side for some turns every now and then. When I first heard about 93 north I was intrigued but skeptical as people are with any new products. After the better part of the season I can say that I have thoroughly testing this product on hard packed groomers, to off piece crud, to deep cat skiing powder and the Andromeda’s handle every one with ease.
If you are interested in locally made and expertly crafted products by a group very smart people, then I would highly recommend this ski, it is incredibly versatile. It is light and soft for powder but has the shape and power to rip groomers when needed.

Looking forward to what the people at 93 North do next.”
